Quickie before I leave the house.

Got a new phone, ultimately pleased with it and realised that having more functions on your phone rocks when you can't find a pretty one to satisfy your vainity. Now I just need to find more fun games to install on my phone because bejeweled gets boring after a while. And for the curious, it's the LG Arena! So now both my laptop and phone are from LG. I'm such a loyal customer yo!

So many things I want to do, but I can't seem to find the time/people to do them with me! Please somebody ask me to go do a manicure/shop/ktv-ing/gorge at a buffet/watch a play/sleepover! Life is stale.

OK gotta run now, wednesdays and sundays shall now be my official updating days.

Nearly everyone's blogging about school, so I figure I'll do that as well.

I can basically sum up everything in three words: I'm very lost.

Really, because uni life still feels very unreal to me and I'm kind of dangling in the middle-ground, trying to get started on my work and stop fooling around so much. If you know me well enough you will know that it is really, really very hard for me to concentrate on just one thing, and this is really irritating because everyone around me is so motivated and hardworking and I am seriously lagging behind. Hopefully the study session with rah tomorrow will be a good start. :/

At least I've accomplished quite a lot in the socialising arena of my life; I had a HTHT with 3 of my tutorial group mates just yesterday, I joined recreational tennis, got into the main committee of an event, been lunching/dinnering with various people, etc. On average, I make one new friend everyday! Awesome or what?

I'm doing all these because uni life has been pretty much lonely so far. We're all like young frogs thrown into a new pond and forced to adapt quickly in order to survive. And we find ourselves hopping around trying to find a place we belong. I'm glad that I am not too weird, not too ugly and not too clever because then I will probably end up alone for the rest of my uni life. Superficial, yes, but that's NBS for you.

Hello everyone! (:

It's the second week of school now, but I still feel like I'm in the honeymoon period. ): Which is bad, because I need to start doing all my tutorials and readings properly and not end up a slacker/ponner as I was in JC. But anyway I am still relatively motivated by my desire to go on an exchange programme next year, so all should be fine!

Hall life has been blah so far, since I hardly know anyone in my hall. Long story lah, but because I had to transfer hall the only people I know are my roommate, a few OG friends and Liu Ye (from VJC)! Which is why I am supposed to go for this welcome dinner thing tonight to make friends. And my hall room seems to have all these weird bugs flying around. Annoying much.

I feel like I've been on this hectic socialising schedule recently which is exhausting me out, but I find myself continuing to say yes to the various social obligations I have! 'Tis bad. Whatever happened to the Jiayi who says no when she feels like it?!?

Anyway, I've decided to attempt to be sportier in uni and am joining tennis (albeit it being RECREATIONAL tennis) and modern jazz (which I have to audi for so most likely I won't get through).

Oh, and one more thing to motivate me: BANGKOK IN DECEMBER!! <3

I think I'm going to lose a lot of weight staying in hall. All I ate the whole of today was 3/4 a double cheeseburger, 1/2 a packet of fries and coke, a watermelon, 3 sotong balls, and 3 crab nuggets! Which is like very little compared to what I usually eat. And I keep sweating from the humidity and climbing all the stairs. Phew!

School has been fine so far, only got lost once when my friend and I took the wrong bus >_> I've been having pretty good luck lately, like suddenly meeting friends in the lecture theatre when I thought I was gonna have to sit alone! Heng ah. Hopefully this lucky streak will continue.

HELLO PEOPLE (:
I'm fully rested from my fever now and feeling much better although I'm still hacking away like an old man. For those who didn't know, I was away for camp for a week at the other side of Singapore. Speaking of which, I really wanted to die travelling there on the first day, and because I totally underestimated the travelling time, I was late for 15 minutes :(

Anyway, my first experience as an NTU student was interesting, because it is seriously unlike any other school I've ever been to before. Even though I've had my fair share of being cheena at DHS, the cheena-ness at NTU was in an entire league of its own and quite often I found myself having a culture shock. Luckily for me my OG was not that cheena so I could adapt quite well, I think. Anyhow, my OG actually won which is quite surprising because we were damn slack and it's the first time any group/house I'm in ever won champion. So maybe my luck will be better in NTU.

And I am also quite happy I went for the camp because I found out there are still cute guys at NTU after all, so I don't need to worry about the lack of eye candies and all. HAHAHA. xD
